Reality, Fate & Destiny- Part 14

#14

We all sat down around a table with 4 seating in Starbucks. Sierra sat next to Adam hence I sat next to Hayden. My heart was pounding my ribcage and I was still in shock of what Hayden had told me, 'I like you Jade. I always have liked you. I just never had the guts to tell you.' I swallowed hard when Hayden held my cold, sweaty hands. I bit my bottom lip and looked at him trying to act cool. He gave me a warm smile that melted my heart. Sierra giggled and broke the silence between us, "Anyone wanna order anything now?" her sweet voice echoed. The smell of coffee hung in the air above us and a song called White Blank Page by Mumford and Sons were playing. Machines made a whirring sound as people come in through the door and order the type of coffees that they want. Next to our table, an old man was sitting reading the newspapers with a Starbucks mug placed on the table. A couple was sitting, enjoying their drink on the table by the window. Hayden held tight of my hand and I looked nervously at Adam. He nod towards the counter suggesting I should go and order something. I got up and Hayden pulled me back down causing me to land on his lap. He smiled and put his head on my shoulder and I could hear the sound of my heart beating, fast. Adam looked at us and I could see hurt in his eyes. I licked my dry lips and Sierra made a awe sound.

"I'll just have black coffee," I told Sierra to break the awkwardness between me, Hayden and Adam.

"I'll have the same thing." Adam smiled and look at Sierra as she got up from her chair.

"And you Mr Flirty pants?"

Hayden laughed, "I'll have frappe latte."

She walked to the counter and ordered the drinks. This felt even more awkward between us.

"So Adam, thanks bro."

"What for?"

"You know what," Hayden smiled. I felt left out so I just let out a sigh and waited for Sierra to come back. I let go of his warm, manly hands and got up to help Sierra with the coffees. We came back and placed the mugs on the table. "Thanks," Hayden said sipping his hot frappe latte. He's got whipped cream just under his nose that made him looked like he had a mustache. I laughed and he wiped it off and put the whipped cream on my nose.

"Hey!" I giggled and wiped it off. Adam watched our every move and he let out a big sigh. "So, what should we do next?" I asked the three of them.

"You guys should just go out," Sierra commented, "you make quite a cute couple." She continued and drank her coffee. Adam got up of his seat and pushed his hair clear of his forehead. We all looked up in surprise and he cleared his throat, ready to say something but then hesitate.
