Adam returned me with a light smile and got up. I was still sitting on the big, yellow comfy couch. He went back to the kitchen to put the First-Aid kit back. I got up and brushed my shorts, slowly I followed him from behind.
"Need help walking dear?" Adam's mom, Margaret, called out from the kitchen peeking her head to see me.
"Um.. nope! I'm fine, thanks," I replied her with a smile on my face. She looked at me and raised her left brow up. Adam walked past next to her and she pulled him close and whispered something.
"WHAT?! Mom no, please," Adam shouted as he stepped back from his mother. He looked straight at me and giggled with his mom. I was confused at what was going on so I limped towards their direction.
"Go, go, go now!" Margaret pushed him cheekily.
"Mom, please, no," he hold his mom's hand and started to giggle. I raised my brows up, confusingly. I got closer to them and Adam smiled so innocently at me.
"What's-" Margaret interrupted me,
"You two should go-"
"Mom! Shut up!" Adam covered his mom's mouth with his big hands.
"Let me go dear," his mom pushed his hand and chuckled. He looked at her all tensed and she winked cheekily. They were not at all like mother and son but more like friends. I shooked my head and just laughed at them and they both joined me.
The kitchen went silent afterwards and we returned cheeky smiles to each other and burst out laughing again.
"Okay, enough laughing kids. Honey, I gotta go somewhere so I'll be back a bit late tonight," Margaret told Adam. He nodded and took my hand.
"Mom, since you're going to be back late, we'll be at Mandy's okay?" he replied and smiled. His mom nodded once at him and we began to sauntered out of the kitchen, through the hallway and to the door. I sighed,
"Ahh! I love your mom! She is so fun and not clingy like mine," I said as Adam shut the door and I was standing at the pathway. The sun was bright but the cool air brushed my face.
"Don't say that, your mom is just fine," he said. The wind blew his hair and he run his finger through his hair.
"Can you walk? Or you want me to give you a piggyback?" he offered me.
I scoffed, "Do you really want to give me a piggyback? I gained weight ya know," I said sarcastically. He bend down, waiting for me to get on his back.
"Well, hop on the you little nut!" he laughed. I tapped my right foot rapidly and jumped on his back.
I wrapped my arms around his neck gently; my legs around his waist. The mixture smell of cigarette and vanilla floats in the air around us. I rest my head on my arm as he walked slowly, trying to balanced my weight. We did not say a word. The street was quite, we were quite. Everything was calm as we strolled down the road. I can feel the warmth on my face and on my thighs. I rest my head on my arm, right next to his right ear. He giggled everytime I breathe. I guess my breathing tickled his ear.
He hummed a song called 'Skyway Avenue'. He nod his head slowly and took a deep breath. He squeezed my legs tighter but gently. He continued to walk but then he stopped.

If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.
