As Adam lead me the way, I grabbed his arm from behind. I looked at him intensely and he shrugged his arm from me. My face turned into a frowned as he continued walking.
"Where're we going?" I asked him softly. He turned around to face me and stare at me coldly.
"We're going to see Hayden and Sierra. I told you I'd help you with him," he replied me, bitterly. I looked at him and frowned again. He sighed and tilted my head, gazing deeply into my green eyes and I tried to look away but I was drowned into those brown hazel eyes.
"I told you I'd help you," he gave me a fake smile.
"Yeah, I know," I replied.
"You should be happy then. You've been bugging me about this since forever," he said.
I took my eyes away from his and look down. I sighed deeply and he look at me. He continued walking and got his phone out of his pocket and start to dial a number. I followed him from behind and pulled my shirt down. I was sweating, but not because of the sun flaming, but because I was nervous. I didn't know what I was nervous about. Adam's right, I should be happy. Adam was talking to someone on the phone, he was using his 'flirting' voice. I reckoned it was Sierra, no doubt. Sierra, she was Adam's girlfriend. She's a pretty red head. She's got freckles on her tanned face, a little spot on her bottom lip and she was one of the most prettiest girl I have ever met. Adam left her like a year ago but she still likes him; or love him.
Adam never told me how they broke up, then again I remembered he never really talks about his personal life that much. They went out for half a year and then Adam broke up with her without a good reason. I never really did asked him why he broke up with her. As soon as he got off his phone, I asked him, "Hey Adam, why'd you broke up with Sierra?"
Adam stopped and turned around to face me. Sweat were running down my forehead and I used the back of my hand to wipe it away. He walked up to me and gave me a faint smile. He pushed his dark hair clear out of his forehead, twice. He bit on his lip piercing and chuckled. I raised my eyebrows, not knowing whether to laugh with him or hit him. So I just stood there quietly.
"The reason why I broke up with her is because I wasn't in love with her. I realised that I was in love with someone else. But-" he sighed and took a deep breath, "but the girl that I'm in love with likes someone else."
"So you didn't like her then?" I asked, puzzled.
"I never said that. I liked her but I didn't love her. There's a difference y'know," Adam said confidently. He was not giving me the answers that I wanted to hear and I was sure that he wasn't going to give it but I still asked him.
"So, why'd you break up with her?" I repeated the same question. I raised my right brow and look up his face.
"I told you-"
I cut him mid air, "Yeah I know! But why? Who's the girl that you're 'in love' with? Do I know her?"
Adam stifled with laughter and continued walking giving me a cheeky wink. "You'll never know," he said and walk ahead. I blew my hair out of my face and run up to him.
