Reality, Fate & Destiny- Part 4

#4

"What is wrong with you Adam?! You always get so bloody upset everytime I talk to you about Hayden! Why?!" I screamed, my eyes starting to fill up with tears. "Adam, what is it about Hayden that you hate?! You guys are close friends, bandmates but it seems like you hate it when I talk about him." I continued. He stared at my light-brown eyes. A tear drop, running down my cheek. He walked towards me and cupped my face in his warm hands, wiping the tears away with his thumb. "I'm sorry Jade. It's just that, Hayden is a womanizer and I don't want him to play with your feelings. I don't want you to get all broken up because of him. I lo-" I cut him mid-sentence and shook my head causing his warm hand to drop. "He is not a bad guy though. I mean, please. I just want to know him a little bit better." I sniffed. He gave me that look again and turned around. The music from downstairs were still so vulgar that I can barely hear my own breath. But this conversation between me and Adam was loud and clear. I don't know why but I can feel like there is a distance between us. "A-adam?" the sound of my voice trembled.

He turned to face me; his eyes were filled with dissapointment and guilt. He opened the door and walked out leaving the door behind him open and me still standing in the room like a statue. I closed my eyes and wipe my tears away. Although the night was lively, energetic and wild; I felt empty.

I was still feeling dull. I sat on my bed thinking about what happened last night. I lie down again covering my face with the pillow. I screamed. "Fuck this, I can't take it anymore." I said to myself and got up searching for my phone. I clicked on contacts and scrolled down. I tapped on my phone screen, and called him. As it was ringing, I waited nervously. 'The number you have called is not in service. Please try again later. ' "Arghhh! Damn it Adam! Why won't you pick up?!" I screamed. "Jade sweetie, what's wrong?" my mom called from downstairs. "Nothing Mom!" I shouted back. I have never fight with him like this before. Usually if we argue or have a fight, he would be the first to apologise. But not this time. Did I really hurt him? I thought to myself. I jumped out of bed and went into the toilet to look at the mirror. I messed my hair to make it look scruffy. I was wearing a white plain t-shirt tucked in my high-waist shorts. It was a hot, summer day so I wasn't feeling comfortable wearing long shirt and jeans. I got out of the bathroom and went downstairs.

I can smell the macaroni and cheese from the oven. I went to the kitchen and found my mom washing the dirty dishes. "Oh hey mom, I'm gonna go out to a friend's for a bit. I'll be back okay?" I told her and quickly walk out the from the kitchen before she start asking me questions like, where? Who's house? Why? I shut the door as soon as I walked out. I took my phone out of my pocket and called Mandy.
