"I'll be right there!" Annie yelled from upstairs. I needed to quickly wash my feet because of the mud. I groaned disgustingly because my feet was covered in mud. While I was too busy feeling disgusted by my foot, I wondered where Freddie went. This was weird because I'm pretty sure he went into my house but I couldn't find him in my living room when I hopped with one leg to go search for him. I wondered where he could've went. Annie screamed from upstairs which scared the hell out of me. "Who are you?! Get out!" she screamed and it struck me; Freddie was upstairs. I may not know a lot about him but I have the feeling that he likes to do whatever he wants without even thinking about it first.
"Oh shit," I mumbled and wonder how the hell am I going to go upstairs and check out what he was doing. I hopped with one leg up the stairs and prayed that I wouldn't fall back down. "Uh- Annie?" I called out feeling guilty. When I saw my bedroom door was slightly open, I peeked in and saw Freddie was actually talking to Annie. My eyes widened, "what- happened?" I asked as if I don't know the answer already.
"God, you still haven't wash your foot yet?!" Freddie laughed and Annie seemed to be laughing with him.
"Aw you poor baby!" Annie laughed when she saw my muddy foot. "Come on," she pulled my head gently and asked me to wash it off in the toilet. "Freddie, would you kindly go downstairs and wait for us," she asked him. He winked at me and went downstairs. "My God, he is hot." My step mom said. There is a feeling inside my stomach that makes me want to gag right in front of her when she said that. "Calm down! I'm just playing. Now wash your foot and come downstairs," Annie giggled and left me in the toilet. Quickly, I wash my foot and ran downstairs.
"There she is, mud girl." Freddie joked.
"Ha- ha," I said sarcastically and was a little bit annoyed by now. He saw my face expression and laughed,
"I'm sorry," he got up and walked towards me and held my shoulders. When his big hands cupped my petite shoulders, I could feel electricity running through my body. I couldn't helped but smile when Annie interrupted us by offering him something to eat. "Yeah, I was waiting for someone to ask me that actually," again he joked. Me and Annie giggled and we sauntered in the kitchen and ate the leftover artichoke dip with tortillas.
"Artichoke dip! My fav! Wow, you guys must've known that I'm coming," he said. Me and Annie exchanged different looks as we watch him eat it. He looks like he hasn't eaten anything for years. With the tortillas in his mouth, he managed to said, "What?"
I sat on the chair next to him and Annie asked him the usual questions like when is he going to move here, how long has he played the piano etc. It seemed like him and Annie are getting along really well and it made me happy. I'm still wondering if I'm dreaming because this is not actually happening. Then, a question that I have been dying to ask came to my head, "Annie, why'd you screamed earlier?"
"Oh! I thought it was a robber or something but then he said he's your friend and I was in my ninja-mode," she explained.
"Wow so when both of you get scared, you act like a ninja?" he asked. We both said yes simultaneously and he nodded as if he was amused. "Wow, this is some good dip," Freddie complimented on Annie's cooking and as usual, she got big headed and started to boast about how she can cook steak, lasagna etc. They both chattered excitedly and she offered him if he wanted a cup of tea. Of course, he didn't decline the offer and burped. "'Scuse me ladies," he chuckled and thanked Annie for the food. I watch his every move, and studied his face in details. I just can't wrapped my head around the fact that the most hottest boy I have ever seen is in MY house.
"Um, Freddie, wouldn't your girlfriend be wondering where you are?" I asked shyly.
"Nah, she's probably shopping or something. I don't really care," he replied lazily and by the look on his face, he didn't actually seemed to care what his girlfriend was doing. "Y'know, I think I'm actually going to like being neighbour with you guys," he grinned.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that and if you need any help, just call out okay? Bob, me and Jen can help out move you furniture or whatever around when you move in," Annie offered as she placed the hot steaming tea on the table. He nodded in agreement and asked us questions about how long have we lived here and stuff. Annie was exceptionally good at small talk so it wasn't awkward between us but throughout the whole conversation, I didn't talk much.
"Ah, thank you so much for lunch and an enjoyable day," he thanked me and Annie. Annie took the cup of wash it. "I enjoyed myself today, we should do it again," he smiled at me. I flutter my eyelashes and smiled.
"Y-yeah, maybe so." I agreed.
"Well, Ann and Jen, I have to go now. It's getting dark and my parents would probably wonder where I am so I'll see you in school tomorrow alright?" he said.
"Awh, how Jenny wish you could stay a little longer," Annie nudged me and winked at him. I gasped and covered her mouth to get her to stop talking. We all laughed and Annie hugged and kissed him on the cheek. I just nodded eventhough I wanted to hug and kiss him as well but I knew if I do it, my cheeks would be burning red. He held out his hand and this time, I shook it. To my surprise, he pulled me out of the house and hugged me. I was stunned and so happy at the same time. We both said our goodbyes and he went down the street. I waited until I couldn't see him anymore and went inside. Me and Annie looked at each other, calmly at first and after a few seconds, we both shrieked excitedly.
